Ideaborn is pleased to announce its entry into two of the most significant forums of the Euro Mediterranean region, the Anna Lindh Foundation and the Spanish Network for the Anna Lindh Foundation.
The Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) based in Alexandria (Egypt) is a foundation established within the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), the European Union and the League of Arab States with the aim of promoting cultural dialogue between the north and south of the Mediterranean.
FAL branches off nationwide as a network of networks, based in each of the 42 countries in the Euromed space.
The Spanish network is coordinated by the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) designation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Spanish government.
The Spanish network currently is composed by over 130 organizations throughout the Spanish territory. His fields of work are several, encompassing areas such as development cooperation, intercultural dialogue, gender equality, youth, education, immigration, environmental or media.
The heterogeneity of members and the interdisciplinary nature of its activities constitute an added value to the network and an element of richness.
Ideaborn participates as a member in the axis for Citizenship.
The field of citizenship is engaged in the development of universal shared values such as respect for diversity, dignity, human rights, defense of peace and democracy, by facilitating the participation of citizens in building open societies and inclusive and in the promotion of the human dimension of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership.
The urban spaces are an ideal laboratory for exchange and mutual understanding. The actions of the ALF favor the dynamic relationships between diversity and dialogue in order to promote the development of new forms of citizenship.
