Development cooperation and philosophical research: The Diaphora Project mid-term conference

Since 2016, ideaborn has been part of Diaphora's inter-university project.

The aim of Diaphora is to promote a European platform for collaborative research on the nature of philosophical problems and their relation to conflicts in the practical sphere. Diaphora involves 7 universities, more than 20 young researchers and development cooperation groups. One of the benefits of this network is the ability to offer doctoral students the opportunity to carry out work experience outside the academic field in subjects related to their studies. The ideaborn group participates in this objective by hosting scholarship students in their Barcelona office.

In December, the project's first conference will take place at the University of Barcelona, where ideaborn will participate with a presentation.

This allows us to create a synergy between philosophical thought and specific actions linked to our mission. Indeed, for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), philosophy provides the conceptual basis for the principles and values on which world peace depends: democracy, human rights, justice and equality. In addition, philosophy helps to consolidate the authentic foundations of peaceful coexistence and tolerance.
