    The  new  Gender  Action  Plan, Gender  equality  and women’s  empowerment:  transforming  the  lives  of  girls  and  women  through  EU  external  relations  2016-2020 (GAP II) aims to place gender equality and the empowerment of girls and women at the heart of the EU’s external actions.  GAP II  implementation  is  the  responsibility  of  the  Commission  services  and  the  European External  Action  Service both  at  Headquarters  (HQ)  and  Delegations levels.   • Identification of Civil Society Support Program in Nigeria

    In 2014, a report identified long-term strategic priorities for EU’s cooperation with CSOs in Nigeria. It also proposed more appropriated modalities of working and funding, and a more comprehensive approach. The European union’s objective was to enhance its engagement with civil society because it has a role of critical and growing importance in its external relations in Nigeria and beyond.   • European Union Election Follow-up Mission to Cambodia

    The general objective of the Mission is to assess the progress made in electoral reforms since the 2013 elections. The mission focused its assessment on the implementation of the recommendations and took into account the assessment of the EU Heads of Missions (HoMs) on this matter.
