On April 29, 2017, the Moroccan television station 2M invited Dr. Elarbi Imad, coordinator of the “Forming Responsible Citizens” Project in Casablanca, to give an interview about the situation of violence prevention in youth communities.
Theme of the program was “Education in Values“.
In this program, Dr. Imad presented the causes of youth violence and focused especially on the dangers of virtual violence and how social networks can contribute to this type of violence.
To deal with this situation, Dr. Imad has presented a series of initiatives capable of responding to social alarms, and explained how schools, the civil society and NGOs play an important role in this context. Among his recommendations is the deep integration of citizen education in the school system as one of the most effective tools to prevent such problems. The “Forming Responsible Citizens” project contributes in exactly this way.
