Ideaborn Art contest 2019
It is with great pleasure that we announce the final result of the ideaborn Art Contest 2019:
Daniel Alberto De La Barra Gomez from Peru is the winner of our artistic contest with his
artwork “El Mapa Paititi”!
Daniel awarded 1.000,00 (one thousand) euros and his artwork will become the image of
Ideaborn for a year; furthermore the artistic work will be printed on the Ideaborn' New Year
greeting cards to be sent all around the world!
Our jury and our team had particularly appreciated the capability of “El Mapa Paititi” to reach
with originality the theme of the competition, merging history, social relevant topic, classic
painting and new technologies all together with a fascinating and impressive result.
“El Mapa Paititi” is a 17th century old map reproduction of a Inca Temple overlapping with a
most detailed and contemporary map (aerial snapshot of google maps) of the same site,
Madre de Dios (Peru), in which, nowadays, the mines have replaced the original scenario,
having a controversial social and economic impact on the people's lives.
Furthermore, we inform that the "Mapa Paititi" will take part in the exhibition of the Barcelona
Gallery Weekend, which will open on October the 10th. More detailed will be given soon on
our social media.
