The Human Rights and Democracy programme is organized around two thematic components – anticorruption and access to justice.
In this last phase it foresees the establishment of a limited number of strategic partnerships within each component, to increase the impact of the activities and to ease the harmonisation with other donors. Moreover, it aims at increasing the knowledge base on human rights and democracy and at developing better indicators as well as civil society’s capacity to monitor sectorial public policy.
This mission is carried out in the framework of the phasing out of DANIDA’s assistance in the region and aims at adjusting the pre-identified programme to better consolidate the results of previous assistance phases and incorporate the current needs of the region.
The mission assesses the quality of the local partners programme(s) and of the proposed support and it identifies potential risks to the implementation of future activities. It is articulated in three phases: document analysis, field visits and de-briefing in each of the countries concerned.
