    The overall objective of this nationwide project, “Strengthening of the National Colombian Capacity in the Action against Mines” of which is part the present contract, is “to contribute to the regional development for the free mobilization of people and a better understanding of the landmines situation”.
    In particular, the technical support should provide the national program “integral action against mines” (PPAICMA, in its Colombian acronym) with the professional services (operational, administrative and logistic) for the organization and realization of three international seminars and related workshops, “Mine Risk Education”, “Assistance to Victims”, “Humanitarian Demining in Colombia: Challenges and Prospects for the Development”, respectively:
    Seminar on “Mine Risk Education (MRE)” and related workshops:
    1. New developments in the concepts and forms of application of the vulnerability, threats and capacity in assessing MRE.
    2. Identification and measurements of the decisive factors of change related to the individual and collective risk of APLs and UXOs.
    3. International experience in the design and implementation of accreditation outlines and quality control
    Seminar on “Victims Assistance” and related workshops:
    4. Experiences of psychosocial intervention to victims of violence at an international and national level that could be integrated in an overall process of integral action related to victims of APLs and UXOs.
    5. Experience of socioeconomic inclusion of victims of violence at an international and national level that could be integrated in an overall process of integral action related to victims of APLs and UXO s.
    6. Attention being given to victims of APLs and UXOs in the national framework of the social / disabled policies.
    Seminar on “Humanitarian Mine Clearance” and related workshops:
    7. Management of humanitarian Demining operations;
    8. Risk management and geographical priorities;
    9. New technologies applied to mine clearance operations
