Forming Responsible Citizens (FRC) started in the April 2015, after one year, we are in the core of the actions in both countries where the project acts, Tunisia and Morocco.
The project aims to prevent juvenile violence especially against girls and women in the schools, as a key vehicle to disseminate citizenship and gender equality values, through the implementation of a new citizenship education curriculum.
FRC is labeled by Union for the Mediterranean and financed by The Kingdom of Norway and the Principality of Monaco.
- The project will reach the ambitious goal to create a synergies between the Ministry of Education (MoE) and social actors, such as civil society, schools and parents.
- The design of new methodology related to civic education to fostering the citizenships values and the violence prevention against women and girls.
- Testing the new curricula in different schools and areas in both countries.
To obtain these results, the first phase of the project has been focused to study the civic education initiatives and activities in the schools using as key point the juvenile violence prevention especially violence against woman and girls in both countries.
