The Ideaborn group
Ideaborn SL complements the consultancy work by supporting the documentation and replication of best practices for the prevention of youth violence, and access to restorative justice for children in conflict with the law. Additionally, it facilitates partnerships between the public sector, private sector, civil society, and academia to promote human rights due diligence and foster common strategies for the advancement in the implementation of the UN 2030 Social Development Goals.
In 2017 we promoted the creation and have since supported the Americas’ juvenile violence prevention access to justice FONDO RECUERDA. This entity has its headquarters in Washington DC, USA and a delegation in Medellín, Colombia, and is recognised as an entity of social interest in both countries. Its mission is to document, disseminate, and support the replication of best practices in support of children and young people at risk of economic and social uprooting, including those who have come into conflict with the criminal law.
Also in 2017, we promoted the creation of the Global Citizenship Education Fund, which since then has enabled training of public servants and service providers to citizens in general, to enhance human rights due diligence in both industrialized and developing countries. Likewise, it canalises applied research from PhD programmes to facilitate the articulation of private and public stakeholders to gain effectiveness in the implementation of the SDG 2030 agenda. That it does in countries that receive both official development aid and international investments. The GCEF is based in Barcelona.
