Save the date: "Forming Responsible Citizens" Seminar in Tunisia on 20 October 2016

Ideaborn and its Partners, the Moroccan Center of Civic Education and the Social Development and Empowerment Center in Tunisia, have the pleasure to announce the first regional workshop for the project Forming Responsible Citizens "The school as essential vehicle to prevent violence and promote the values of equality "to be held the 20 October 2016 in Tunis.

The objective of the workshop is to present the results of Diagnostic phase which was conducted in Morocco and Tunisia about the role of civic education in schools and its impact on the promotion of a culture of nonviolence and equality.

It aims to discuss with stakeholders the best strategies and tools to rehabilitate the school's role as a key element to prevent violence among young people and promoting the principles and the values of equality, moreover strengthening the role of the key stakeholders including parents and students themselves.

The workshop will present strategies of the two countries in this field and the good practices of the Euro-Mediterranean region in order to enrich and improve the future steps of the project.

Reasons to attend the Seminar:

- Make contact with the project actors involved in it

- Dialogue with principal regional operators on education and equality sector

- Identify opportunities to strengthen collaboration on the issue of civic education in the Mediterranean region
