The meetings of the follow-up committee took place in Morocco on October 5th, and in Tunis on October 24th.
The Committee involves experts, institutions and representatives of national education so that they remain committed to the prevention of violence and the strength of the civic education system addressed by the FRC method.
In Morocco the attendants, especially led by each school referent agreed to plan the FRC methodology implementation for the forthcoming months.
In Tunisia, the steering committee agreed the amount of schools to reach with the didactic materials design by the project and the actors to consider to include in the distribution strategy to achieve it successfully.
The general purpose of these commissions is to involve stakeholders and support the FRC with a continuous evaluation procedure. The meetings have validated the work done so far and established the most suitable procedure for technical support to teachers at the point of putting into practice citizenship activities in schools.
This allows the project to create an efficient response based on the daily needs of the schools and to manage effective tools to monitor the quality, impact and feasibility of the new teaching method.
The Forming Responsible Citizens project is in partnership with Ideaborn Foundation, the Moroccan Center for Civic Education, the Social Development and Empowerment Center, the Jordanian Centre for Civic Education, the Adyan Foundation and the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO.
It is labeled by Union for Mediterranean and financed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway& the Principality of Monaco.
